Angela Zimmann=Energizer Bunny?
I just have to share this Facebook post made by congressional candidate Angela Zimmann (Oh-05) today. It reads like the parody I saw not too long ago of the typical candidate post — a type of post I happen to enjoy. But it also demonstrates what it takes to run for office and why not all of us are cut out to do it!
Here's Angela's day:
Fantastic day in Mercer County - 12 hours! Started out at Kozy Marina by Grand Lake St. Marys, moved on to The Fountain Inn, then to Java Nation, enjoyed some cake with Carrol Depweg Jeffries and George Jeffries at the home of Bill Sell, then on to the Fire Station, the Police Station, the Courthouse - then three amazing factory tours! - stopped by the school in Rockford - moved on to talk with some small business owners, including Casa Rodriguez - then to the Mercer County Democrats Picnic with David Pepper and Steve Fought. Looking forward to representing these good people in the Congress of the U.S.A. I sense many 16 hour days ahead... working hard, because OH-5 deserves the best.

I also have to add that I admire how quickly this complete political novice has gotten a grasp on campaign tactics. Some may find it irritating, but I admire how openly she is asking people for campaign contributions, a necessary evil in our sad system. I would rather see money flow to a candidate who is out there 12, 14, 16 hours a day, meeting and talking to people and finding out what they would need from her when she is elected to Congress rather than an elusive and ineffective incumbent like Bob "Who?" Latta, her opponent.
I'm way short of cash right now, but if you have a few extra dollars, you could do worse than donate to Angela. She's certainly earning it:
