Another Courtroom Setback for Dann (D) On Gaming Machines

This time Franklin County Common Pleas Judge David W. Fais ruled that Attorney General Marc Dann (D-Liberty Township) can't back out of an agreement it reached in May with South Carolina game manufacturer Castle King LLC to allow it to legally operate the Match 'Um Up "skill game" in Ohio. Dann tried to void the agreement after the company refused to disclose details about the internal mechanism of the machine.

Dann and Strickland have tried hard to combat the gaming machines through an executive order and lawsuits, but at this point it looks like a change in the pertinent state laws is necessary if the effort is going to work.

Ohioians say no to expanded

Ohioians say no to expanded at race tracks and the tracks put the machines in inspite of the law. Now with HB 177 the Ohio lawmakers REWARD the LAWBREAKERS. HB 177 CHANGES ORC3769 which currently allows LIMITS OWNERS TO ONE races track permit and ALLOWS TWO pemits for the SAME OWNER. Message is clear lawbreakers that are wealthy move ahead of all Ohioians so they will keep attending FUND RAISERS. HEY us hard working stiffs vote too! We don't think you should reward LAWBREAKERS. The only person who spoke in favor of HB177 was the General Manager of the Cincinnati race track. Check the records thats true and the same race have these unlawful gaming machines. ONLY IN OHIO......
