The group's political arm, Usaction Fund for a True Majority PAC, just concluded voting in its contest to pick a progressive candidate for Congress for the group to get behind.

The result?

It was neck and neck all day yesterday, at one point these two candidates were tied! Because of such a close finish, we're awarding the gold jointly to the proud progressives YOU chose -- Ann McLane Kuster and U.S. Rep. Betty Sutton.

That's good news for northeast Ohioans!

As the folks at USaction Fund for a True Majority point out, both these candidates are currently tied with their Republican opponents. In Sutton's case, that's the useless out-of-touch rich-people stooge Jim Renacci.

As True Majority reminds us,

In 2010 the GOP circulated a sexist flier telling voters to "Send Betty Sutton back to the Kitchen," but she still managed to retain her seat. The GOP was so upset, they cut up her district to make it harder for her to win. She faces a tough race against GOP incumbent Jim Rennacci.
