Barack Obama and the truth about NAFTA

Barack Obama has consistently lied about his position on NAFTA - this is extremely relevant to the people of Ohio and it deserves absolute attention of all those that live and reside in the of the state. What is clear is that what Senator Obama has said of his position on NAFTA and his ACTUAL position are once again completely at odds.

This is an article that has received much attention by the Canadian Press, but the American Press have all but touched on it - This is extremely important for all voters to be aware of before they cats their ballots on Tuesday.

Some points to note:

1. A CTV report has emerged that the Obama camp have made contact with the Canadian Government, via the Chicago consulate general regarding comments that Senator Obama made at the Ohio debate -which we all saw, and had adequate opportunity to evaluate.
2. A senior member of the Obama campaign have been reported to have made contact with the Canadian Government in the last month, stating that when Obama has stated he would opt out of the free trade deal, it is simply RHETORIC. This will not be a position he will therefore take within his administration.
3. The Obama camp have denied this - but there is no evidence to the contrary that they have not made such contact.
4. Senator McCain has spoken about Senator Obama's position, and has said that is is clearly not apt for the candidate to talk about one thing and then do another.

So what we have to ask ourselves really is - Is Senator Obama just wanting our votes...?
This is not a candidate in my mind that actually cares about the issues, nor take any staunch particular stanch on policies. Say one thing, do another is increasingly becoming the rhetoric attached to his campaign and rightly so.

It is just words - this time they are Obama's, but he is alleging they are not. Trustworthy and accountable - two features America needs to be able to ensure in their next President. With Obama, this simply isn't so.
