Blackwell Is Back - Hang Him Around McCain's Neck!

Fresh from viewing the documentary "Swing State" about the thorough thrashing of Ken Blackwell by Ted Strickland and Lee Fisher in the 2006 gubernatorial race in Ohio, I see this press release in my email inbox in which the Club for Growth exults over the selection of Blackwell as Chairman of the Platform Committee for the Republican National Committee (emphasis added):

β€œKen Blackwell is a committed conservative with a strong record of fighting for pro-growth, limited-government policies,” said Club for Growth President Pat Toomey. β€œHis work in Ohio and as a leader in the Republican Party is exactly what the conservative movement needs. The Club for Growth is proud to have Ken Blackwell on its board and we know he will be a vital asset in his position as Vice Chairman of the Republican Platform Committee.”

His work in Ohio, indeed. Vote suppression and the most disgusting campaign in state history.

John McCain is the leader of the party that embraces Ken Blackwell as a hero, and McCain repeatedly visited Ohio to support and raise money for Blackwell. Ohio rejected Blackwell like so much spoiled cabbage. Let's remind the voters every day from now to November about McCain's best buddy Ken.

Been a while before Kenny got pay back by the Big boys.

This must be the start of something big and bad, as usual.

Platform? I can't wait.
