Kaptur has a very long and (un)distinguished anti-choice record. Her district is one of the safest progressive districts in the state, but she is loathe to vote for anything that could be remotely construed as pro-choice.

Over and over, it's been pointed out that there is NO funding for abortion in the bill. NONE. The Catholic nuns have endorsed it, Catholic hospitals have endorsed it, now the National Catholic Reporter has endorsed it - and all have pointed out that there is NO abortion funding. Does Kaptur really want to go down in history as an anti-life vote on a bill that helps keep children — living, born children — healthy, and provides for better maternal and prenatal care?
