Cleveland City Council Votes to Protect Transgendered Individuals

It's hard to believe we even need legislation like this in 2009, but tonight, Cleveland City Council reaffirmed the words of our founders that all men are created equal by voting 21-0 to extend protections against discrimination in employment, housing and public accommodations based on gender identity and expression.

Kudos to every member of council. Now, let's see the rest of the state follow their lead.
