Cuyahoga County Council District 9 Candidate Don Saunders upbeat about win in 2010
BEDFORD, OH – Bedford City Councilman Donald A. Saunders is energized after what the Councilmember states was a successful editorial board meeting held Thursday, July 22 at the offices of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
“I was the one candidate who spoke to the infrastructure, who had a realistic and effective plan that can be implemented. I want to make sure we are working for the future of our county,” said Saunders, whose career spans working for 25 years as a engineer for Cuyahoga County and a zoning inspector for Northfield Center Township in Summit County.
Since the transition began from the three Commissioner-based system to the County Council form of government, Saunders has been involved. Councilman Saunders currently serves on the Cuyahoga County Transition Procurement and Public Works Committee and the Cuyahoga County Engineer’s Public Works Committee.
Adds Saunders, “We, as future councilmembers, need to understand what the job is, what we are responsible for…this is not the time for on the job training. Those who are truly willing to serve should already be involved in the process, as I have been.”
