DailyKos Diarist Rips Romney: Pure Brilliance

Daily Kos diarist Weatherdude usually posts detailed scientific diaries about storm fronts. You can count on him to monitor tornado outbreaks and track hurricanes.

Today he posted about another kind of storm front: Mitt Romney's revealingly contemptuous remarks about regular Americans who are struggling — most through no fault of their own. They didn't choose not to be born into a fabulously wealthy family like Romey's.

In this diary, titled "How D***king Dare You," he makes it clear what a puny excuse for a human being Romney is, saying things like,

Mitt Romney, you are an arrogant snob. The hardest thing you've worked for in your life is deciding which factory to shut down and which city in China gets a gift of jobs wrapped in the sweat, blood, and tears of the Americans you fucked over.

and

You will never have to worry about anything in your remaining decades of life. Neither will your children, nor your children's children, nor will their children and so on. They will always have the privilege of money, of fake prestige, and the family name you're tarnishing on a daily basis.

And he speaks for so many of us, when he says,

You don't deserve your money, let alone to be President. When you lose in November, I'm going to laugh the laugh of a madman. It won't only be because you lost, but you'll feel something very few other Americans beneath your pedestal will ever get to feel -- the abject failure, the weight of the rejection of tens of millions of people you think you're better than. And when you get your rightful place in the history books as the Grinch from Hell who couldn't get elected to the presidency by putting down half the country, I hope you sit there and cry like a newborn baby. I doubt it, but maybe, just maybe, somewhere deep down in your heart, you'll have a Come to Jesus moment with yourself about how much of a miserable human being you've been in your 65 years on this earth.

Romney keeps sticking in foot in further

His explanation for his contemptuous remarks:

Republican Mitt Romney says a video clip in which he called nearly half of Americans "victims" was "not elegantly stated" and was "spoken off the cuff." But he says President Barack Obama's approach is "attractive to people who are not paying taxes."

That's putting it mildly. They were spoken with the inelegance of a smug quarter-billionaire who thinks he's so much more virtuous than people who were not born to wealth and privilege.

Then he doubles down, referring to "people who are not paying taxes," when in fact people whose income is too low to pay INCOME taxes — and a large portion of these are seniors — are mostly paying a much higher percentage of their income in Social Security and Medicare taxes than lazy idler Romney. In fact, given that, he — and his running mate All Lyin' — should be slugged for even bringing up cuts in Medicare and obscene plans to privatize Social Security. WE built that — WE paid for — by a much larger percentage of our incomes than Romney.
