Democratic Presidential Candidates Absolutely Crushing GOP on Fund-Raising
Now that third quarter fund-raising numbers are all in, it is plain that collectively the Democratic contenders are far, far ahead of the Republicans:
Taken as a whole, the Republican numbers are downright puny when compared to the massive amounts collected by the Democratic candidates. Combined, the Democrats have raised nearly $100 million more than their GOP counterparts. Among the front-runners, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton has raised about $90 million overall and Sen. Barack Obama has raised more than $75 million. Giuliani and Romney have each raised about $46 million so far this year.
These totals reflect the mood of the country as a whole, and the mood is not favorable to the party of Bush and of prolonging the Iraq fiasco.
