Her name and face might be known to Cincinnati area residents as a former television investigative reporter on WCPO, but today, Laure Quinlivan is reportedly investigating a run for Cincinnati City Council. A source close to OhioDaily tells us that Quinlivan hosted a small planning meeting yesterday and informed attendees that she'll be running this year and will have backing of key Democratic leaders (despite being a non-partisan race). A call to Quinlivan was not returned at the time of this post.
Cincinnati Councilmembers serve two-year terms and run at-large in a giant free-for-all with the top nine elected to council. The current council is made up of six men and three women. Of the nine, five are Democrats, two Republican, and two are Charterites.
