DEVELOPING : Ohio GOP in Chaos, David Yost Moving to Auditor's Race
Well, it sucks to be State Rep. Seth Morgan right about now. The ambitious, Josh Mandel-like, political climber from Montgomery County jumped at the opportunity to fill the void left behind on the GOP ballot for Auditor when Mary Taylor joined John Kasich on the gubernatorial ticket. After less than a week as the lone candidate in that race, the GOP is rushing to push him back out of the race - replacing him with current Attorney General candidate David Yost.
The whole drama should be calming to Dems worried about the state ticket's prospects in 2010.
According to Cleveland's WTAM Radio, Yost will announce at 2:30pm that he's leaving the AG race to Mike DeWine and will instead pursue Taylor's slot.
The GOP ticket, minus Mary Taylor, is shaping up to be a beauty - with terribly unpopular, or unqualified white men at every slot. Fantastic!
More on this later on OhioDaily.

This is so amusing
Dave Yost? Let's work to make him Dave Toast! It's not like this is going to make their race for AG any easier, since Mike DeWine seems like he's barely aware he's running.
