First TV Ad Opposing Payday Lending (Yes on Issue #5)

After five unanswered ads by the well-funded advocates of payday lending, here is the first ad against the proposed constitutional amendment to reinstate 391% interest on short-term loans:

It's a pretty good ad. I'm glad we can finally see a commercial where "payday" lending is actually mentioned. I'm hoping that when Ohioans go into the voting booth that they read carefully and realize that a Yes vote reforms payday lenders, while a no vote allows predatory lending to continue unregulated. I'll be voting yes on issue 5 - 28% APR is a lot better than 391% APR!
