A newly forming non-profit, Ohio Interfaith Power and Light, will host a public symposium to gather people of faith around the issue of climate change. The program will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2008, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Broad Street Presbyterian Church, 760 East Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio. Everyone is welcome. There will be a freewill offering taken during the event.
More information after the break.
The program will feature among others:

The Rev. Sally Bingham, founder and president of The Regeneration Project;

The Rev. Rebecca Tollefson, Executive Director of the Ohio Council of Churches;

Al Compaan, Chair of the Physics and Astronomy Department at the University of Toledo and leader of a research group focused on thin-film photovoltaic solar cells;

David Wilhelm, founder of Adena Ventures, a venture capital fund targeting central Appalachia, which includes the southeastern Ohio area in which he was raised.

Is it just me...

I was embarrassed enough that I wasn't aware that the former head of the DNC was my neighbor, but then he's in the national news as a former Clinton staffer endorsing Obama, then in the national news again as he switches from being an Illinois Superdelegate to an Ohio Superdelegate... then he's got 4th billing on a religion/environment symposium.

I'm half expecting my two year old daughter to name one of her stuffed animals "David Wilhelm."

Perhaps He Cloned Himself!

Suddenly he is everywhere.

The name "Adena" came up yesterday - Gov. Strickland and Rep. Space announced a visit to the Adena Medical Research Center to highlight funding for grants and stuff. Is that another Wilhelm connection, I wonder, or is that a common name for things in SE Ohio?

Thanks Jeff!

Jeff, thanks for posting this. The organization's volunteers are thrilled to see the news spreading!
