This debate will address the payday lending bill on the November ballot. The featured speakers include Bill Faith, executive director of Coalition on Homelessness and Housing in Ohio, representing the "Vote Yes on Issue 5" Committee, and Niger Innis, National Spokesman for the Congress of Racial Equality, representing "Ohioans for Financial Freedom." The debate will be moderated by Eric Wellman, WCPN ideastream.

Niger Innis should be ashamed of himself. I learned today that his group has taking money from the payday lenders. No wonder he was there on the lenders behalf.

Was Bill Faith correct? Is his side really outspent 60 to 1?

I hope the voters pay attention and vote YES to keep the interest rates low. If the payday machine can come into Ohio, buy a spot on the ballot and win by lying, it would be a dirty shame.l
