McCain Did Not Convince Gayle Quinnell

Remember the video where the older woman tells McCain that Barack Obama is an Arab and he takes the microphone and says "No, Ma'am"?

Well, someone at that rally found Gayle Quinnell and asked her why she said that Obama was an Arab. Here is her response:

You really have to wonder how many people out there are walking around with this nonsense in their heads.

There are plenty of people "wandering around with this nonsense" whether they actually believe the "facts" Gayle alleges to have learned in the library or whether it is a cover for "I won't vote for a black man". You cannot reach irrational, close-minded people with reason and fact. Maybe you can't reach them at all.
Unfortunately, McCarthyCain has no interest in really educating people like Gayle. So long as what she does results as a win for him, no matter the cost, it doesn't matter. That's the way he's been running his campaign. This from a man who claims to be a patriot who puts his Country First. If that John McCain ever existed, and he may have, he's long-ago morphed into someone driven by ego, desperation, and blind ambition. The only tragedy greater than this metamorphosis would be his election to the White House...with the lovely Sarah in tow. God help us.
