More Music FAIL for the GOP

Damn. When it comes to music, the Republicans just can't get a break. Phil Lynott's mom eviscerates the Romney/Ryan platform; artists ranging from Twisted Sister to Al Green to Silversun Pickups have asked them to stop using their music – and now this.
As part of its little "counter convention" in Charlotte, Republicans were planning a "Rock the Red 2012" concert, "a rally for people with conservative values," that more accurately should have been called "Twang the Red." It was to feature country music oldie Charlie Daniels, Grammy-winning country artist Travis Tritt, who career has pretty much been in the toilet the last 6-7 years, and a newcomer named Lee Brice who had a big country hit earlier this year — the type of thing that doesn't put people in seats.
And apparently that was a problem that not even a promised appearance by crazy, corrupt Maricopa County, Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio could fix.
The event was originally scheduled to be held in the 11,000-seat Bojangles Arena, according to WSOC-TV’s Linzi Sheldon, but just 300 tickets were sold

Darn. I hate when that happens!
