My Crunchy Limbaugh Audio
Another lunch hour, another 15 minutes with el-Rushbo listening to him defend what has become the worst vice-presidential pick in living memory.
His first tack was to draw a comparison between Sarah Palin and Clarence Thomas. Limbaugh boldly stated that just as the left attacked the best qualified judicial candidate in 1989 because of his policies, the left is now doing the same with Palin and even more so.
Amazing.
Limbaugh made the statement that Thomas wasn't an affirmative action hire but if you look back into Thomas' writings you will find that he felt people didn't take him very seriously coming out of Yale because of affirmative action. Stepped in it there, Rush.
And the best was yet to come.
Next, he played a sound clip of Jeff Greenfield saying that if Chelsea Clinton had become pregnant during her father's Presidency around the same age as Palin's daughter, that the Family Research Council and others would have a field day with it (paraphrasing, here).
Limbaugh's reaction was to ask, "how do we know Chelsea Clinton wasn't pregnant then?"
And finally, in his first segment he attacked those in the media asking why Palin would per her daughter through this just to have a chance at becoming VP.
Limbaugh asked the question that only he could think of ... he asked what sort of mother would NOT take the VP slot and put the burden of being the cause of her not taking the slot on her pregnant daughter.
So you see, Sarah Palin is being thoughtful to her daughter by taking this appointment.
Wow.
