OH-02 : Victoria Wulsin, Paul Hackett Endorse Yalamanchili

The end is closing in on David Krikorian. The one time "conservative independent," who became a Democrat this year after ruining Victoria Wulsin's shot at Jean Schmidt, is finding himself falling behind in the frantic run up to the May primary. Today, that gap widened a bit more.

Wulsin, along with 2005 candidate Paul Hackett, endorsed Surya Yalamanchili is his bid to win the Democratic primary and take on "Mean Jean" in the fall.

From Wulsin:

"I am publicly endorsing Surya because he reflects the values of the Democratic party that I care deeply about," Dr. Wulsin said. "He is focused on the hard-hit families in the 2nd District that have struggled through this economic crisis. Our families have lacked representation in Washington over the past five years, and Surya is the right candidate to stand up for them."

And Hackett:

"I am formally endorsing Surya because he is running for office to fight for the middle class," Hackett said. "He is focused on what matters right now which is using public policy to encourage business investment and help rebuild the manufacturing sector. These are exactly the issues that voters across Southern Ohio are looking for leadership on."

"The American people are clearly tired of politics as usual and are looking for fresh ideas," he added. "Surya has what it takes to win the 2nd District in November, and I look forward to supporting him."

The Hackett and Wulsin endorsements follow the pick up of Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory several weeks ago.

Uh-oh

I know one blog denizen you have just pissed off! I wonder if he'll stop by to whine. "How dare you say the end is closing in on Krikorian! His own polls show him only 50 points behind Jean Schmidt!!"
