"Ready" and "Qualified" For What?

So let me get this straight -- she's ready to assume the office of vice president, one 72-year-old heartbeat away from becoming the most powerful person in the world, but she's not ready to answer questions from the press? Instead of the Sunday morning talk shows, she's headed back to Alaska for "education"?

But she will do 30 fundraisers during the next 60 days.

Go figure.

If only we could sit her in front of the late Tim Russert, that would be interesting Sunday morning theatre.

Yes, as to the tracking polls, the RNC bump doesn't look like it will quite cancel out the DNC bump. Chris Bowers and Nate at 538 both dig into it and figure that Obama will weather the storm, coming out on the other side (i.e., around the middle of next week) with a small lead.
