The sad fact that Mitt Romney needed to be “humanized”
The Republicans stated they were going to use part of their convention to try to “humanize” Mitt Romney to America.
Mitt Romney is a human being that needed to be “humanized.”
What?
Does anyone else think it’s a pretty scary scenario when a major political party needs to use its national convention to “humanize” its candidate? The millions of dollars spent, the unbelievable amount of time planning and coordinating to portray a person as they should already naturally be; a person: with thoughts and feelings.
How sad is that?
Also, I can help but think, why?
Why would any group of people, society, or country, willing want someone as their leader that needs to be “humanized?” Again, what is that really saying about that person?

If you have to work at it ...
it's just not there. It's like in 1996 when some consultant told Bob Dole he was too stiff and formal and needed to be looser and more casual — and had him make a campaign appearance in bermudas and a Hawaiian-type shirt. The look on his face betrayed a desperate yearning to get back into a navy blue suit as quickly as possible. I've never seen a person look so uncomfortable.
