Sen. Brown on the VP short list? Perhaps.

Huffpost has our beloved Senator as a 2nd Tier pick for Obama:

Sherrod Brown
Another governor, this one from Ohio. Brown is a favorite among progressives for his economic populism and outspoken criticism of the war.

Pro: Could help deliver an important swing state.

Con: Doesn't really satisfy the idea of a unity ticket.

Their top choices? Webb, Clinton, Richardson, Biden and Schweitzer. Right now, I'd go for Webb, Biden or maybe even Richardson. I don't know much about Schweitzer and Hillary is just not palatable at this point.

The HuffPost corrected their mistake of calling Sen. Brown our Gov instead of our Senator.

Speaking of 'not palatable,'

Brown's despicably opportunistic "torture people while absolving the Bush administration of all responsibility" vote would make me think long and hard about voting for Obama if Brown was in the VP slot. I really, REALLY hope Obama picks someone else.

I think it'll be Webb

He used to be a Republican, he is pro-gun and has lot's of military experience.

Although, it's too little too late, Sen Brown did admit that vote was wrong and said he would work to correct the mistake.

I Think It Will Be A Governor

Kathleen Sibelius would be an interesting choice.

I cannot believe that the author called Sherrod Brown a governor. Ouch! Did he think he was talking about Strickland, or did he mean Brown and just got it wrong?

Ewww

I didn't even notice that flub. My mind fixed the mistake for them and read senator. :-)

Sibelius is mentioned in the article, they think she is a weak campaigner. I don't know much about her either.

Consistent

"I cannot believe that the author called Sherrod Brown a governor."

Oh, I can believe it. To me, that's typical of the level of accuracy at Huffpost. Every time I see her on TV, I can't hit the clicker fast enough...

The Fix had Sibelius

And four others - none were Biden, Dodd or Richardson. I think Clinton was one...I forget. But yes - KS gov would be an interesting choice.
