Join PDA Ohio for their monthly "Progressive Movie Night Out" co-hosted by American Friends Service Committee Tuesday, June 3rd, 6:30pm Akron-Summit Public Library, 60 S. High St., 44326 Free and open to the public. Free parking in the deck after 6pm. The library is not a sponsor of this event. Global corporations are buying up local water supplies. Communities lose control of their most precious resources. This film documents cities such as Stockton, CA, where their water/sewer was bought by a private corporation and what that means to the citizens and to democracy. Film will be followed by a discussion, including updates about Stockton and the money and grief privatization has cost their community - information told to us during Michael McDonald's recent visit to Akron to work with Citizens SOS.
